Real Name:
Marcus Abraham Enderton
In-Ring Name:
Marcus Enderton
Nicknames:
the Savannah Slammer, the Predator
Date of Birth:
October 18, 1985
Height:
5'10"
Weight:
205 lbs
Hometown:
Bulawayo, Zimbabwe
Personality:
Inside the ring, Marcus has the psyche of a skilled hunter or tracker, no doubt something left over from his days in Africa- he views wrestling as a kind of hunt in that sense. Outside the ring, his demeanor varies on the person he's speaking to and how he relates to the person- far from the brash arrogance of many new recruits, he's got a certain eagerness to learn, although his wits are almost always about him by habit. It usually takes a bit of time for him to socialise and become friendly towards people he hasn't met. He's known to have something of a cynical side that shows quite a bit.
Physical Description:
Marcus is of a slightly-leaner-than-usual build, but has a fair bit of muscle development without the scrawniness assumed with some other cruiserweights (AJ Styles' body type is a pretty fair comparison). His skin is lightly tanned, the result of a life outdoors, while his hair is cut quite short and is dark brown. His eyes are green, and there's a faint scar down his right cheek. Depending on his mood, his demeanor can be anything from open and friendly to calm and reserved.
Ethnicity:
Anglo-Zimbabwean
Pic Base:
Stephen Amell
WRESTLER'S IN-RING INFO
Alignment:
Neutral with face tendencies (Generally likable and a decent person, but is pragmatic and will seize the advantage where he needs it)
Wrestling Style:
All-rounder - generally focuses on a combination of speed and technique, but is at least able to brawl if he has to (kickboxing/capoeira training).
Strengths:
Fast - while Marcus is smaller than your average wrestler, he's also able to move with lighting-fast speed and agility, enabling him to avoid attacks, outpace his opponents, block hits and strike first.
Strategically-minded - Marcus' time in the South African military has taught him the benefits of tactics and strategy, and as a result he'll often plan his matches out and try to outthink his opponent, which might give him an edge over an arrogant wrestler or one who just charges blindly.
Excellent physical conditioning - Years in the army, and a childhood spent in a much more of a 'wilderness' environment than the United States has blessed Marcus with excellent cardio and endurance. It's very hard to wind or exhaust him, and he can last the distance in long matches.
Weaknesses:
Size - while Marcus is fast and technically capable, it doesn't change the fact that he's both short and light for a wrestler. If forced into a brute strength scenario, Marcus is likely to be at a disadvantage.
Prone to injury - Marcus' fighting is mainly based around being able to avoid physical punishment or soften the blow as much as possible. If he takes a major beating, it will *hurt* him. This isn't as much a problem as it used to be for Marcus, but it becomes a major problem when taking matches from hell or serious beatdowns.
Entrance Theme:
"Galvanize" by The Chemical Brothers (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xu3FTEmN-eg)
Entrance Description:
The opening violin strings of "Galvanize" by the Chemical Brothers kicks in over the arena, and the entrance video package of Marcus Enderton flares to life on the X-Tron - scenes of Marcus' matches, choice moments of the Predator Kick, Savannah Slam and Hunter's Snare, with the occasional smattering of the Trident and ICBM moves, interspersed with orange and red scenes of the African savannah. The violin is now joined by a heavy beat and backing electronica, and Enderton himself emerges from the curtain, looking around while standing poised on the ramp. The crowd cheers, and Enderton waits as a voice insistently booms over the music, joined by some of the more knowledgable in the crowd chanting.
"WORLD. THE TIME HAS COME TO"
"WORLD. THE TIME HAS COME TO"
"WORLD. THE TIME HAS COME TO... GALVANIZE!"
With that said, Enderton surges to life, rising to his feet and yanking his arms in the air, his roar only matched by the drone of the crowds. Orange, red and yellow lighting washes over the arena as he begins his approach down the ramp to the ring, eyes boring forward as he descends the ramp in time to the strings, bass and Ghostface Killah As he reaches the foot of the ring he makes a run and slides in under the bottom rope, coiling and springing up to his feet with catlike agility. He crosses to the nearest turnbuckle and ascends the ropes, standing at the top. He brings his arms up over his head, fists extended. After a few moments, he hops and spins down to the canvas, crouching and adopting the coiled tension of a predator, checking his gloves and preparing to fight.

Ring Attire:
Marcus generally wears long pants of various fabrics - primarily these are red, but they can vary depending on the event, and a variety of logos. Popular logos include a diving eagle in flight on the leg, a 'doppler effect' logo on the leg, and a fighting-lion logo on the leg. The tights are bound just below the waist with a thick orange sash that hangs to the right thigh. His boots are always uniformly black, as are the fingerless gloves he wears in each match.
Out of Ring Attire:
Marcus usually opts for utilitarian gear; military-tag short-sleeved shirts, t-shirts (often accompanied with a vest over them), jeans, cargo pants, short/long-sleeved shirts with braces/vests, slacks, all in various colors. Generally Marcus dresses in a more utilitarian style than the average person, something left over from his time in Africa.

Biography:
Marcus Enderton was born on a farmstead in Zimbabwe on October 18, 1985 to upper middle-class parents of British descent who worked in the agricultural industry, but at the tender age of ten was forced to leave the farm due to the Zimbabwean government's policy of redistributing land. As a result, his family lost the key industry they had been working in their entire lives, and their fortunes went down the drain, something only compounded by the economic problems in that country. As a result, his family emigrated to the African island of Mauritius. While the family survived and made ends meet, they were by no means wealthy, and could only barely afford to give Marcus schooling. As a way to attempt to 'help out' the family- both to relieve their burden in his absence and to earn money to help them- Marcus, at the young age of eighteen, journeyed to South Africa to serve with their military. This service took place over five years, and saw a young man learn many of the important life skills he shows in his day to day life- in addition to some of the hand to hand combat he displays in the XWF.
In his second year of service, Marcus came under the command of an American-born sergeant who had also enlisted in the army. As time went by and the men got to know each other, Marcus found out that the sergeant was actually a retired professional wrestler who had made a fair living in the 1980s and 1990s. The bond between them became like a brotherhood, and the sergeant began to train Marcus in wrestling skills in their downtime, thinking he could train the young man so he could leave Africa and make a better life for himself.
In 2008, Marcus was discharged and returned to Mauritius, but in the space of a couple of months he was visited again by the sergeant, who claimed he could pull strings to get Marcus a try-out with one of the many wrestling companies in the United States. All he would have to do was get there, and everything would be organised for him. Marcus agreed, and spent the next few months saving his money before finally booking passage aboard a rickety boat bound for the United States.
Marcus' career thus far, spanning across both the XWF and WGWF, has been promising but has always been cut short due to injury. He kept at it however, seeking training under XWF mainstays such as Andy "Centurion" Cortinovis and even a few sessions under Steve Jason himself. This paid off in 2012 where he finally exploded onto the scene with the fire, passion and drive that had been the final key ingredient to beginning an incredible career, culminating in the capture of his first singles title, a devastating win record and vindication of his name and career. Unfortunately, Marcus seemed to have reached his prime at the worst possible time, with the infamous 'fall of the XWF' and WGWF going somewhat quiet.
Marcus has been absent from the wrestling scene for the past couple of years, and by all accounts appears to have become something of a global drifter, showing up unannounced in one country one day, then appearing halfway across the world the next. All attempts to monitor or track him seem to have failed, and it's difficult to say what - if anything - his current plans are. Or at least they were until word finally reached him of a reunion show...
